According to 'Sky Sports', Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle to sign Polish centre-back Jaroslaw Jach from Zaglebie Lubin.

The 23-year-old is reportedly in London for a medical with the deal expected to be announced as soon as Monday, depending on the results of that examination.

Palace have been hit with a significant casaulty list with Ruben-Loftus Cheek (ankle), Andros Townsend (also ankle), Mamadou Sakho (calf), Jordon Mutch, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jason Puncheon, Connor Wickham and Scott Dann (all knee) all sidelined.

Manager Roy Hodgson is hoping to bring in several signings in this transfer window to help bolster squad numbers, as his team hope to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle following their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.

Jach would join Benfica midfielder Erdal Rakip, who is also reportedly undergoing a medical, as Hodgson's first January signings with the 'Eagles' currently in thirteenth, three points above drop zone.

The Poland international has made 78 appearances for Zaglebie Lubin, scoring four goals, since joining from Lechia Dzierzoniow in 2013.
