Arsenal announced on Wednesday that Takehiro Tomiyasu has renewed his contract for two more seasons, i.e. until 2026. The Japanese's consistency has earned him the trust of the Gunners once again.

Arsenal were working on renewals for a number of players including David Raya, who they want to sign permanently, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu. In this way, the Gunners are assured of keeping some of their key players for next season.

Mikel Arteta's side have secured Ben White's services until 2028, with the player's commitment to his club so strong that he has refused to play for England in the March international break.

The London club announced on Wednesday that the Japanese right back has also extended his stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2026. His consistent hard work and best efforts have kept him at Arsenal.

"We are so pleased to have Tomi commit his future with us. Together with his natural ability and strength, Tomi’s attitude, mentality and values are first-class. Tomi is loved by everyone and has been an integral part of the squad since joining us," coach Mikel Arteta told reporters.

The Spaniard went on to add: "The way he trains, with his desire and determination to be the best version of himself every day is admirable. We look forward to continue working with Tomi in the future years."
