Ethan Nwaneri could sign his new contract with Arsenal early this week after progress was made in negotiations in recent days, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal are continuing to work on their new project for next season. The Gunners have secured the signings of Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, but they have also not forgotten about their Hale End gems.

The Gunners managed to reach an agreement with Myles Lewis-Skelly to renew the winger with a new contract until June 2030, and it looks like the next young product to do the same will be Ethan Nwaneri.

The England winger's contract expires in 2030 and the Arsenal board want to reward him for his good first-team performances with a new contract that could be signed as early as this week.

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between the English club and Nwaneri have progressed well in recent days. The 18-year-old attacker has made 37 official appearances this season, 16 of them starts, in which he has scored nine goals and provided two assists.
