Mkhitaryan identifies the player who is making him better at Arsenal
Mkhitaryan, who joined the Gunners from Manchester United in January, likes to operate in a No 10 position, and sees no issue in having two playmakers.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan claims that he is becoming a better footballer by playing and training alongside Arsenal team-mate Mesut Ozil, and the former United man is adamant that they can work in tandem.
"Some people are saying we cannot play together, but I can't understand these people that are saying that," Mkhitaryan told 'ESPN'. "I'm just enjoying playing with Mesut and he's an amazing football player."
"I'm getting better playing with him, everyone knows his skills, abilities, so why not? Everything is possible, why not have two No 10s on a pitch?," he added.
The Armenia international often found himself deployed in unfavourable positions under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, but he seems to have found in Arsene Wenger a manager who matches his football philosophy.
"In the last year I played in Dortmund with Klopp, Dortmund was playing very good football and I think it seems to be a bit similar comparing Arsenal to Dortmund," Mkhitaryan continued. "I'm very happy to be here. I get pleasure playing offensive football and being part of Arsenal."
"Every offensive player wants to play offensive football. For me as well, I always love to play offensive football, it's not easy to defend all the time."
"It's necessary to do the best for the team, but in this case, when Arsenal are playing offensive football, I'm trying to give everything I can give to the team."
