Antoine Griezmann was full of praise for his teammate Leo Messi. The Barcelona player that the Argentinian is "the strongest" and that he tries to "understand his movements".

In an interview for the La Liga channel by 'DAZN Italia', the French forward reviewed his first months in the Barcelona ranks, where he also spoke about his former team. 

"Messi is the strongest player in the world. It is a pleasure to share the field with him. I try to understand his movements and move well when he has the ball to have a good connection," said the 'Little Prince'.

Not only did the Frenchman speak of Messi, but also of Luis Suarez, who was injured for four months and will not return until May. "He's a goalscorer, he only needs a few chances to score," he said of the Uruguayan.

He also spoke about his time in Barcelona in general. "I'm very proud, I'm very happy to be here. My father is happy that his son plays for Barça. I want to be a part of the history of this club and I must work for it. I have to work to be important in this club," he said.

Griezmann was self-demanding with his numbers. "Regarding my goals, I must improve in goals and assists. I'm adapting and trying to learn as much as possible about the team's tactics. I feel very good, physically and mentally. I'm happy on and off the pitch," he said.

He also had good words for his former team, Atletico Madrid. "It was a nice experience, because of the fans, Simeone and his team-mates, the best of my career so far. Now I'm at Barcelona, the best club in the world."
