Lautaro Martinez fired Inter Milan in front in the 38th minute of the Champions League quarter-final first-leg against Bayern Munich thanks to a spectacular finish from Marcus Thuram's assist.

In a remake of the 2010 Champions League final at Munich between Bayern and Inter Milan, the visitors headed into the break in front after a spectacular finish from captain Lautaro Martinez in the 38th minute.

The Argentine striker opened the scoring in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena, finding the back of the net after Harry Kane was denied the lead by the post.

Marcus Thuram laid off the ball for his attacking partner in the box with a neat touch, which was followed up with an even better goal from the 'Nerazzurri' captain, who directed it into the top corner with the outside of his boot.

The goal was reviewed for a potential offside from the French striker, but after a quick VAR check, the goal was confirmed. This is Martinez's seventh goal in the Champions League this term. He is the first Inter player to score that many since Eto'o.
