Atletico Madrid midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia returned to training on Thursday just in time for the weekend's match against Sevilla.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia returned to training with the group on Thursday.

The Frenchman will be available to Diego Simeone for this Saturday's match against Sevilla, after overcoming the muscle strain that kept him out of the last derby against Real Madrid.

The midfielder returned to work at the same intensity as his teammates a week later, after completing his recovery period, which means he will be included in the squad for the match at the Metropolitano.

The Atletico coach will be without five players: Angel Correa and Nahuel Molina, who are suspended, and Rodrigo de Paul, Sergio Reguilon and Reinildo Mandava, the first two with muscle injuries, and the Mozambican full-back, who will be out for seven months due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
