The Bayern Munich footballer had to go off before half-time due to a knee injury. The German midfielder tried to stop Erling Haaland in an attack.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich faced each other this Saturday in 'der Klassiker'. The match started at a good tempo and with chances. Erling Haaland let Bayern off the hook on one occasion while Robert Lewandowski had a goal disallowed at the other end.

There was an unfortunate incident around half an hour in though. Joshua Kimmich got injured and had to leave the field in tears.

Haaland, in a Dortmund counter, ran with the ball through midfield when the Bayern footballer made a challenge on Haaland to try and win the ball. Kimmich saw yellow while Haaland just got up.

However, Kimmich stayed down after injuring his knee while fouling the Dortmund man. He got treatment, but then left the field in obvious pain
