Jean-Michael Seri stunner wins August Goal of the Month
Fulham's Jean-Michael Seri has won the Premier League's Goal of the Month competition for August for his blockbuster strike in the 4-2 win over Burnley at Craven Cottage.
The 27-year-old Ivorian prised open the floodgates with a rasping 25-yard strike that flew past Joe Hart in goal.
Seri beat off stiff competition from the likes of David Silva and Lucas Moura to win the award, which is voted for by a select group of pundits and the public.
The goal was also chosen as the Match of the Day Goal of the Month, which is voted for exclusively by the public.
Seri has impressed since signing for the Cottagers, adding a touch of class to the midfield. He will be unable to collect his awards until he returns from international duty next week.
Despite Seri's good performances, Fulham have only 1 win from 4 league matches so far this season.
