Steven Zhang spoke to 'Sky Sport' about the renewal of Milan Skriniar, who he described as "an incredible player", and assured that the player knows, from the manager, that he wants him to stay in the Lombardy capital.

Inter Milan sealed their place in the last 16 of the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen by beating the Czech side 4-0 at the San Siro. After the Italians' victory, the club's president and owner was asked about Milan Skriniar.

The Slovenian defender had a great game. He was also one of the talking points in the press room, as Steven Zheng was asked about his renewal: "He is an incredible player and he knows that I want him to stay".

In recent days there have been rumours about Inter Milan's plans to replace the 27-year-old defender, but far from it, the manager cleared up the doubts, saying he is "very confident of reaching a new agreement".

The Slovenian has played 20 games this season with a total of 1,675 minutes in all competitions. He is a key player for the 'Nerazzurri', who, having qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, will focus on improving their position in Serie A, where they are in seventh place.
