A target for Mourinho's team, this star has snubbed the Red Devils in favour of signing for Monaco.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Anderlecht youngster Youri Tielemans has turned down Premier League clubs who were interested in him in order to sign for French champions Monaco.

The midfielder has banged in 16 goals this season as Anderlecht won the Belgian league, and also shone in the Europa League quarter-final against Manchester United, which prompted interest from Mourinho's team.

But Anderlecht's sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck has confirmed that the starlet will join Monaco: 'Tielemans is Anderlecht's record transfer', Holsbeeck told Belgian publication 'Nieuwsblad'.

'The transfer fee will be €25 million plus bonuses involved. Medical tests have been scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday. Monaco is the ideal club for Youri', he stated, 'Youri really wanted to go to a club where the coach would love to work with him'.

With both Manchester clubs reportedly following the Belgian, he told Anderlecht's sporting director: 'I won't go to Manchester where I am just another number on a list'.
