The future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks to be getting further and further from Barcelona. It looks like the key players for him are coming from Saudi Arabia, who are willing to face the huge fee to bring him over from the Blues.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left Barcelona, but at the same time, was thinking about when he could return. Since his arrival at Chelsea in the last summer transfer window, the Gabon international has not been a key part of the Blues' squad and has not looked as settled as he did when played for London rivals, Arsenal. When he spoke to a fan in a bar a few weeks ago, he stated "I would like to return to Barcelona, but we'll see what happens".

Everything seemed to indicate the forward's priorities all lay in playing at the Camp Nou next season. However, the story may have taken a turn of events. According to the 'Evening Standard', Aubameyang could make the move to Saudi Arabia this very summer.

The same outlet reported that it was Aubameyang himself that had been seduced by the Saudi League, who made him an offer that no other clubs would be able to match. Chelsea would also see this as a good deal. The London side would be able to take advantage of his departure, as new manager Pochettino looks to offload several members of Chelsea's large and expensive squad.

Barca previously did not rule out a hypothetical return of the Gabon international, but they are also in a bit of a financial hot-spot, as the 'Financial Fair-Play' investigations continue.
