Celtic v Lazio left a fight of ideologies. The most radical section of the Lazio support went through the streets in Glasgow making fascist salutes and showed a banner supporting Mussolini.. something that had a very 'gory' response in the Celtic Park stands.

The tension was huge between the most radical sections of both teams' fans. "Honour to Benito Mussolini" could be seen on a giant banner from the Lazio ultras. Celtic had time to prepare their response and waited until the game started.

First, they displayed a tifo paying tribute to the 'Red Brigade', a revolutionary terrorist organisation with Marxist and Leninist ideals that was present in Italy from 1970 until 1988.

They also showed dozens of banners saying 'F*ck Lazio' and 'Vaffanculo, Lazio'. But the strongest attack against the fascist claims was with a banner that said 'Follow your leader' alongside a representation of Mussolini's death by hanging in the Plaza de Loreto (Milan).
