The 'Daily Mail' says that Arsenal are getting heavily criticised in England for not replacing David Luiz until half-time despite being involved in a nasty head clash with Raul Jimenez in the fifth minute. The cited media outlet also says that the Brazilian drove home.

There was a horrific head clash in the Premier League at the weekend between David Luiz and Raul Jimenez in the match between Arsenal and Wolves. The striker came off worse and even had to have an operation on a fractured skull.

But the Brazilian also got injured. He had to have a bandage on his head because of the amount of blood he lost. Mikel Arteta decided to take him off only at half-time, something which has caused a lot of controversy.

Several fan groups, concussion experts and media outlets have criticised this decision. They understand that the defender should have been taken off as soon as possible. What is more, the Gunners allowed the player to drive home after the match.

It is worth remembering that the match between Arsenal and Wolves had to be halted for 10 minutes due to the seriousness of Raul Jimenez's injury. The Mexican was taken off on a stretcher and to hospital. Fabio Silva came on for Jimenez while David Luiz kept on playing until the interval.
