According to 'UOL Esporte', Pumas defender Dani Alves rejected Botafogo's offer after being contacted by the club. His current contract expires in June 2023 but he wants to stay at the Mexican team until then.

Botafogo are working on their squad in the World Cup break and they are looking for reinforcements for next season. According to 'UOL Esporte', the Brazilians are interested in signing Pumas defender Dani Alves.

The Brazilian side asked the former Barcelona player about a possible transfer but he rejected them. His current contract expires in June 2023 but he wants to stay at the Mexican team until then.

Dani Alves told his inner circle that he would play until he was 40 and that he would look for one more title.

The defender could retire next campaign. Nevertheless, we will have to wait to see what happens in the coming months and see if he finally announces his farewell or if he will move on to another club.
