Martin Odegaard took five minutes to open the scoring in the game against Watford. The Norwegian took advantage of a great pass by Bukayo Saka to score after nearly three months. Shortly afterwards, Cucho Hernandez levelled with a great overhead kick and Saka then put Arsenal back in front.

Arsenal took very little time to take the lead against Watford. Watford had a goal disallowed after 17 seconds and then, Arsenal hit the front after five minutes.

Saka caused havoc down the right and he spotted Odegaard who ran onto it. The Norwegian received and connected with a great shot from the left with four opponents in front of him to make it 0-1.

Watford, instead of getting deflated, levelled the game shortly afterwards. In the 11th minute, Kiko Femenia, who went down the right, put a ball into the area and Cucho Hernandez levelled with a sensational goal.

The Colombian beat Ramsdale with a great overhead kick to level the scores. Saka then restored Arsenal's lead after 31 minutes to give them a 1-2 half-time advantage.
