Celta sign Nolito due to Sergio Álvarez's injury
Celta Vigo completed the signing of winger Nolito on Thursday, who will sign for the rest of the season and next season after leaving Sevilla.
The player is now in the Galician city to undergo medical tests and get going with training. He could get his first taste of action against Alavés on Sunday.
Nolito, who Celta already tried to sign last summer, will thus return to Celta 4 years after being sold to Manchester City, where he was only at for a year as in the summer of 2017 he signed for Sevilla, who he has played the last three seasons at.
The long term injury to goalkeeper Sergio Álvarez, who at the end of May suffered a tear in the inner meniscus and a small tear in the outer meniscus of his right knee, allows Celta to make the deal ahead of the final 9 league matches.
