Burnley have suffered a double transfer setback after seeing offers for both Sam Clucas and Florin Andone rejected.

The Clarets' improved £10m offer for midfielder Clucas was rejected by Hull, who are reluctant to let any more players leave the club this summer, having already sold Curtis Davies, Andy Robertson, Harry Maguire, Eldin Jakupovic, Josh Tymon, Ahmed Elmohamady and Tom Huddlestone.

The bid for Andone meanwhile was believed to be in the region of £11.8m.

Andone is a Romanian international striker who plies his trade in the Spanish top flight. He scored 12 goals in 37 La Liga appearances last season for Deportivo La Coruña and has also been linked with a move to Fiorentina.

The 24-year-old is believed to be Dyche's alternative to Leeds striker Chris Wood, with the Burnley boss reluctant to pay the Yorkshire side's £20m asking price.

Dyche is in the market for a striker following the sale of Andre Gray to Watford, whilst he is also thought to be keen to reinforce his midfield after releasing Joey Barton and George Boyd earlier this summer.

It is unclear whether Burnley will return with improved offers.
