With almost a third of the Premier League season gone, we take a look at the standout performers so far this campaign. Do you agree with our side?

Goalkeeper: David De Gea (Manchester United)

An obvious choice to start with, De Gea has conceded just five goals so far this campaign and has kept the most clean sheets in the league (8).

Right-back: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

Despite predominantly playing as a third centre-back this season Azpilicueta has racked up an impressive five assists as well as being a part of the league's fifth tightest defence.

Centre-back: James Tarkowski (Burnley)

Tarkowski has seamlessly stepped into the void created by Michael Keane's departure and has impressed, making 19 blocks, 97 clearances and won 78 duels and 51 aerial duels to propel Burnley into seventh place in the Premier League with 11 games played.

Centre-back: Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City)

Otamendi's distribution has been key to Pep Guardiola's style at Manchester City, with the Argentine having made more successful passes than any other Premier League player so far this season (857) as well as contributing two goals to the cause.

Left-back: Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal)

The bosman signing has impressed since being deployed in a wing-back role, with his move out wide coinciding with Arsenal going on a run of four straight clean sheets. The Bosnia international has also shown his attacking prowess, chipping in with three assists and a goal in ten games.

Winger: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

A tough call between Salah and Raheem Sterling but the Egyptian gets the nod after taking to life at Anfield like a duck to water with seven goals and two assists.

Centre-midfield: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

The Belgian has impressed in his deeper role this season, scoring twice and laying on six assists for his team-mates, leading to suggestions that he could even go on to compete for the Balon d'Or in the future.

Centre-midfield: David Silva (Manchester City)

The Spaniard sits atop the Premier League's assist chart, having created seven goals so far this campaign to go with his solitary strike.

Winger: Leroy Sane (Manchester City)

Sane has directly contributed to 11 goals so far this season with six goals and five assists to his name. It is a testament to his form that he is keeping Raheem Sterling out of the team.

Striker: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

The Premier League's joint top scorer with eight goals having also become City's all-time leading scorer, Aguero has successfully risen to the challenge laid down by team-mate Gabriel Jesus to average a goal every 76 minutes of football.

Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Despite his usual early season woes Kane has once again shown why he is one of the Premier League's most feared forwards, scoring eight times.
