Besiktas bring Aboubakar home
Besiktas announced on Saturday the signing of Vincent Aboubakar. The striker returns to the club he called home in the 2016-17 season, in which he enjoyed great success.
Besiktas, one of the three most successful clubs in Turkey, have announced this Saturday the signing of Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar from Porto, meaning he will return to the team he played for four years ago.
"We welcome back Vincent Aboubakar, who was a big part of our team that triumphed in the 2016-17 season", said Besiktas in a brief statement on the club's website, without specifying the details of the successful deal.
In a video released alongside the statement, Aboubakar recalls "very, very good moments" in his career "with a lot of emotion" during his previous stay at the club from Istanbul.
"It is a club that I have never forgotten because they enabled me to perform at all levels", said the player.
"I have come home, to Besiktas", concluded the Cameroonian striker (28), who plays for his country, although the confirmation of his return provoked varied reactions from fans of the Turkish Eagles on social media.
