According to 'GOAL', Barcelona still owe €200 million to Leeds United, Bayern Munich and Manchester City for the transfers of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, respectively.
Barcelona's financial problems are no secret. The Catalan giants managed to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window without making too many financial efforts.
Both Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix joined the La Liga outfit on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid respectively. Meanwhile, Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez joined them as free agents.
However, they still owe money from their past transfers. According to 'GOAL', the Spanish side owe Leeds United, Bayern Munich and Manchester City 200 million euros in transfer fees.
This means that the transfers of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres are not fully paid for. These financial problems prevented them from signing Argentina star Lionel Messi in the summer.
Nevertheless, Barcelona president Joan Laporta told a press conference that they hope "to recover financially sooner than expected".
