FC Barcelona and Gerard Piqué's Andorra share a strong interest in the same player: Sergi Altimira. The 20-year-old midfielder is a promising youngster in Catalan football and has already played in the Barça youth academy.

For this reason, the first 'Cule' reserve team is looking at the market for young talents in Catalan and national football. Amongst all the names being considered, the Barça Atletic technical secretariat has set its sights on Sergi Altimira, a midfielder from Sabadell.
However, Barcelona have found Gerard Pique's Andorra in the race, as they have also set their sights on the 20-year-old midfielder. According to 'Sport', both clubs are bidding to sign the young talent from Cardedeu.
On the other hand, the same media reports that Sabadell are asking for the 250,000 euros termination clause to get rid of Altimira, who has a contract expiring on 30th June 2023.
