Xavi Hernandez is desperate for Joan Laporta and Mateu Alemany to keep on building a top team to win La Liga and the Europa League. According to 'AS', Juan Foyth's name is once again on the table, but everything will depend on Financial Fair Play.

That Barcelona are looking for a right-back is an open secret. But the Catalans will find it difficult to once again balance the books to try and get him in January.

Xavi Hernandez continues insisting and every time he is asked, he says the same thing: he needs a defender for that flank. In that position, they only have Hector Bellerin and Sergi Roberto.

The arrival of the former Betis and Arsenal man helped get fans celebrating again at the Camp Nou. It was expected the academy player would put in the same performances as last season, when he played for Betis. At Betis, he was key to Manuel Pellegrini's side winning the Copa del Rey.

When Bellerin and Sergi Roberto were both injured, Xavi had to resort to Alejandro Balde. Now that we are in the World Cup break, 'AS' says that Juan Foyth's name is being mentioned.

The central defender, who did his job well as full-back for the majority of the matches in the 2021-22 season under Unai Emery, is reportedly another one of the players Barca are trying to sign ahead of the January window. The World Cup could see Villarreal increase his price, although it could also reduce it. The Argentine could be at Barca in the future.
