Atletico's newest signing, Antoine Griezmann has been officially presented with the number 8 shirt on what is going to be his second spell at the club. In addition to a new number, Griezmann surprised the fans with a new hairstyle that will surely remind the fans of his old days at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Atletico's newest signing, Antoine Griezmann, has been officially unveiled at the Wanda Metropolitano next to the club's president, Enrique Cerezo. It was inevitable for the football community not to realize that after a couple of years, Griezmann's hairstyle changed, to a shorter cut that reminds us of his previous spell in Madrid.

It didn´t take long for social media users to talk about Antoine's new 'look'. This new hairstyle was trending topic on Twitter in Spain with the hashtag 'se ha cortado el pelo', which literally means 'he had a haircut'. The weird thing is that Griezmann had long hair during this morning's training session, his first since he returned to LaLiga's current champions.

During the last couple of months there were many fans, that as a joke, were asking the Frenchman to cut his hair, as they believe he plays better with shorter hair. Atletico's new number '8' listened to the fans and delivered what they were asking for.

Last season was definitely not the best for Griezmann, who with longer hair, couldn't perform for his now-former club, Barcelona. During his two seasons at Camp Nou, Griezmann scored 34 goals in 102 games. These are not bad stats at all, however, Barcelona fans always criticised his ups and downs in form as well as his inability to perform in the biggest games.

The Frenchman now wants to redeem his career at Atleti, where he already proved to 'Los Rojiblancos' his value with many memorable nights. Griezmann's performances at Atletico have always been consistent: 132 goals in 257 games

If nothing goes wrong, Antoine will make his return on Sunday against Espanyol. All things considered, Griezmann's place in the starting XI is not guaranteed after a great start to the season for Correa and Lemar
