With the announcement of the squad numbers for the Spanish national team for the Netherlands, the RFEF announced the three players who will not be in the squad: Raul Asencio, Yeremy Pino and Ferran Torres.

The slight discomfort that Ferran Torres was carrying after the Atletico-Barca game left the Valencian player out of the squad for the first leg of the quarter-final of the Nations League against the Netherlands. The Cule striker has not been able to get ready for this duel to be played this Thursday, so Luis de la Fuente had to decide his other two discards for the visit to Rotterdam.

With the announcement of the squad numbers for tonight's game, the RFEF itself has announced that those not included in the squad, in addition to Ferran Torres himself, are Raul Asencio and Yeremy Pino. They do not appear in the list offered by the Spanish Federation for the head-to-head against Ronald Koeman's team.

Raul Asencio was one of the big new additions to the squad. His surprising performance at Real Madrid has also caught the attention of the coach, who included him in the initial list along with Robin Le Normand, Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi as the four central defenders. However, he was left out of the final squad.

Also Yeremy Pino, probably disadvantaged by Luis de la Fuente's wide range of wingers. With Mikel Oyarzabal, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams or even Alex Baena to start on the flanks, the Villarreal player has been left out.

In the case of the centre-backs, the decision to leave Raul Asencio out of the squad directly benefits Dean Huijsen who was called up at the last minute as a replacement for the injured Inigo Martinez. The native of the Netherlands will have the opportunity to play in such a special match.
