Arsene Wenger will be hoping to deploy his new frontmen as they host Everton in Theo Walcott's return to the Emirates on Saturday.

The Arsenal boss may have to do without £60million signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been hit by a sickness bug. "I have to assess how well he is physically today and how well he feels," said Arsene Wenger on Friday. "He had a fever, so he could not practice a lot. He started yesterday, but was still not completely well."

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could make his first start after coming off the bench in the 3-1 defeat at the Liberty Stadium, which Wenger is hoping to bounce back from after calling for improvements in defence.

The Toffees ended a seven-match winless run with a 2-1 win over Leicester, with former Gunner Theo Walcott scoring both goals. Everton manager Sam Allardyce said ahead of his side's visit to north London: "It's about nullifying the strengths of Arsenal. Defensively they're weak because of the amount of players they commit forward. If we can use the ball cleverly and make the right runs on the attack we can hurt them."

Jack Wilshere could also miss out with illness along with long-term absentees Danny Welbeck (hip) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles). Allardyce could call on Eliaquim Mangala after his loan deal from Manchester City while Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy continue their rehabilitation from leg fractures.

Potential lineups:

Arsenal: Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal; Ramsey, Elneny, Xhaka; Ozil, Lacazette, Mkhitaryan

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Jagielka, Keane, Martina; Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies; Walcott, Tosun, Sigurdsson
