Argentinian defender Mariano Bittolo endured an afternoon to forget on Saturday after he suffered a gruesome injury in the 0-0 draw with Huesca.
The left back was left in agony with just under 10 minutes to play after he was caught by the trailing boot of team-mate Roman Zozulya. The 27-year-old was clearly in some distress and called for immediate medical attention.
In the end, the Argetine had to be substituted, with club doctor Eduardo Rodriguez telling Spanish publication 'Marca' that "the player needed 10 stitches to the affected area immediately after being substituted."
The area in question of course being his penis... Yes you read that correctly. Bittolo required 10 stitches in his penis and it was all down to his own team-mate! Who needs enemies when you've got friends like that...
Despite the horrific injury, Bittolo is not expected to miss any games.
Get well soon Mariano!
