Saudi Arabia may have already been out of the World Cup before their clash with Egypt on Monday kicked off, but a late, late goal from Salem Al-Dawsari ensured they went home smiling as they claimed their first World Cup win since 1994.

The game hardly started perfectly for the Saudi as Mo Salah put Egypt ahead, before Fahad Al-Muwallad saw a penalty saved by the evergreen Essam El Hadary.

However, a second penaly from Salman Al-Faraj just before half-time got Juan Anotnio Pizzi's side back level and they went on to win the game in the most dramatic of circumstances late on.

Some nice interplay down the right ended with the ball being flicked into the parth of El-Dawsari, who took aim first time.

He caught his effort from a narrow angle as sweet as a nut, with El Hadary unable to do anything as the ball nestled in the far corner of his net.

The goal meant Egypt will head home from the tournament empty-handed, whereas 'The Green Falcons' end a run of 12 World Cup games without a win.
