Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe covered his bedroom walls in pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo as a 14-year-old. Just four years later, the young Frenchman could become his hero's team-mate.
Mbappe, the subject of a world-record transfer approach from Real Madrid, could swap Monaco for the Bernabéu this summer.
The young French striker's admiration for Madrid and Ronaldo is made evident by pictures of him as a boy aged just 14.
Mbappe's father Wilfried has also spoke of his son's love for 'Los Blancos'.
'He is a Real Madrid fan and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, he used to spend hours watching videos [of Ronaldo] on the internet.' he told France Football last year.
Real Madrid are ready to break the bank for Mbappe, but it is understood Manchester City are rivalling the Spanish champions for his signature.
