Amoura shines in Bundesliga bow, draws Premier League attention

Wolfsburg made a clear statement of intent by signing Amoura last summer, investing €15 million to bring him in from Union Saint-Gilloise. The Belgian outfit served as a springboard for the striker, who spent just one season there before making the leap to one of the continent's top flights.
His tally of 21 goals and seven assists in Belgium had already marked him out as one to watch, but the transition to a league as demanding as the Bundesliga always carries the risk of underperformance. Any such concerns have quickly been laid to rest, however, as Amoura has let his numbers and consistency do the talking.
Closely monitored by Premier League giants such as Liverpool and Arsenal, the No.9 has already earned a place among the Bundesliga's standout performers in his first campaign in Germany.
He is currently the fourth-highest assist provider in the league and is just one away from drawing level with Omar Marmoush — now at Manchester City. Ahead of him are Florian Wirtz and Michael Olise, both just two assists away.
Amoura also ranks fifth in overall goal contributions (18 — 10 goals and eight assists), trailing only Wirtz (19), Tim Kleindienst (20), Marmoush (24), and Harry Kane (30).
Wearing the No.9 shirt but boasting the versatility and flair of a winger, Amoura has been a full Algeria international since 2021. He has already amassed 33 caps, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists for his country.
After emerging from ES Setif in his homeland, his first European club was Lugano in Switzerland, where he scored 17 times over three seasons before catching the eye of Union Saint-Gilloise.
With his mix of pace, instinct, and technical quality, Amoura looks set to become one of the Bundesliga's most sought-after talents — and it may not be long before the Premier League comes calling.
