Amorim applauds Casemiro's resurgence in Manchester derby

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has praised Casemiro for his strong performance in Sunday's goalless draw against Manchester City, highlighting the Brazilian's work ethic and determination to adapt to the tactical demands of the team.
Casemiro, who initially struggled for a starting berth under Amorim, put in a fine performance, making 11 tackles - the most by a United player in Premier League history - and a 100 per cent dueling success rate in the first half.
"The important thing with Casemiro is that he won everything with Real Madrid. He wasn’t playing because I understood that in that moment he wasn’t the best option for how we want to play, but he continued to work," Amorim stated post-match.
"If they enhance their performance, they earn the chance to continue playing. The credit is all the player’s," he added. The Brazilian's resurgence comes after a difficult start to the season, in which he faced criticism over his fitness and tactical aptitude.
Amorim concluded by expressing his confidence in the former Real Madrid player's ability to contribute to the team. "He is our player and will continue to be our player".
