Alli outperforming PL legends after 100 games

The 21-year-old made his 100th Premier League appearance against Chelsea at the weekend, stealing the show with a brace that helped Mauricio Pohcettino's side to a first win at Stamford Bridge since 1990.
It was a fine performance from the youngster, whose displays this season had previously been questioned as he struggled to follow up his 2016/17 season when he scored 18 Premier League goals from midfield.
His dip in form has seen him lose his place in the England team, with the former MK Dons man playing just 22 minutes across two games for the 'Three Lions' during the international break.
However, the stats show that Alli's performances in the English top flight so far in his career yielded a greater return than the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.
Alli's tally of 36 goals from 100 games is higher than any of the other players mentioned, with Scholes coming closest with 26. Meanwhile, Alli has also contributed 25 assists so far in his Premier League career, a tally that is once again unmatched, though Beckham comes in a close second with 22.
Now, the Spurs man must continue to work hard if he is to go on and having anything like the career of the quarted, who ammassed 402 England caps and 20 Premier League titles between them.
