Real Madrid are continuing to observe the transfer market to find the best person to play between the sticks for the club next season. In spite of currently having Keylor Navas there, the Champions' League winners are still looking for a top-quality goalkeeper.
Their top target is Alisson, the young Brazilian goalkeeper who plays for Roma, who seems to be edging closer and closer to wearing a Real Madrid shirt.
It seems, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', that Alisson's agent, Zé Maria, has already met with Real Madrid officials to negotiate a possible move for his client to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Be that as it may, Alisson himself confirmed in a press conference that he has received no formal offer from Real Madrid, and that he is very happy in Rome: "I haven't had any offers from anyone, I have a contract with Roma and I am happy there".
But according to 'Marca' Real Madrid have only begun their pursuit very recently due to the increasing interest from other European clubs for the Brazilian's signature. What's more, 'Los Blancos' don't want to run the risk of the goalkeeper becoming even more valuable after the World Cup, so they would prefer to reach an informal agreement before the end of the tournament.
They will have to compete with Liverpool though, who are more than willing to pay what Roma are asking for the goalkeeper. 'Marca' add that Alisson would like his future to be resolved before the start of the World Cup.
'Mundo Deportivo' also insist that Brazil's starting goalkeeper has rejected the chance to play for the Merseyside club, despite attempts by Klopp to persuade him otherwise. Alisson is clear: he will either stay at Roma or move to Real Madrid, Liverpool is not an option for him.
'Marca' also add that Alisson has already confirmed that Madrid is his number one choice, above any other club, which is something that 'Los Blancos' want to take advantage of to arrange his arrival as soon as possible.
