Alexia Putellas led Barca last year to a historic treble (La Liga, Champions League and the Copa de la Reina) and she won the prestigious Ballon D'or in Paris. That made her the second Spaniard (and the first woman) to achieve it.
In an unforgettable 2021, the Catalan won all individual awards possible: Best footballer of the year in Europe, Best midfielder in the 2020-21 Champions League, the Sant Jordi Cross in Catalonia and the Globe Soccer Award 2021 for the best footballer of the year, as well as the Ballon D'or.
Since her arrival at Barcelona in 2012, when she joined the club at the age of 18, Alexia has grown at a tremendous rate and become the best women's footballer on the planet. She is exemplary in all aspects.
