Alexandre Pato seems to have an amazing ability to score on his debut, managing to score in 5 of his debut games for his various clubs.
When he was 17, Pato marked his senior debut for Internacional byscoring in their 4-1 victory over Palmeiras in the Brasileirao. After moving to AC Milan a couple of years later, he again scored in his debut in AC Milan’s 5-2 win over Napoli in Serie A.
He made it a hat-trick by finding the net on his international debut for Brazil, scoring the only goal of the game against Sweden.
After he left AC Milan, he went to play for Corinthians, and again managed to score on his debut, in their 5-0 win against Oeste in the Campeonato Paulista.
And today, he did it again. After failing to start since his move in January, Hiddink finally gave him a start, and he responded with a goal, as Chelsea comfortably beat Aston VIlla 4-0.
Sao Paulo remain the only club for which Pato has not netted on his debut. A very impressive statistic.
