Alex Collado has not had the best of luck in the first half of the 2022-23 La Liga season. The 23 year-old footballer formed part of the starting XI on eight occasions, but the poor results will lead to changes in the squad.
According to 'Relevo', the midfielder on loan from Barcelona could return to Barcelona in January as Elche want to change things and get out of the relegation zone as soon as possible. In order to do that, they will make signings in the January transfer window.
Alex Collado's absence would free up a large part of their wage bill and help Elche bolster their squad. Nevertheless, if the footballer finally goes back to Barca, he would not stay there. He would go to another club either on loan or permanently.
If he signed for another club in the next two seasons, Barcelona would have to pay 20% of the transfer to Elche, as he agreed in the summer transfer window that he would receive for that amount. Jorge Almiron's arrival meant it was difficult for the player to stay in Elche, but the arrival of the new coach could change things.
