Alejandro Garnacho to wear No.49 as Chelsea debut looms

The 21-year-old Argentine joined the Blues on Saturday for a reported £40 million and has committed to a seven-year contract.
Garnacho enjoyed a productive spell at Old Trafford, scoring 26 goals in 144 appearances, including a crucial strike in United's 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City in 2024.
However, he fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim and was part of a select group, alongside Antony and Jadon Sancho, excluded from first-team training earlier this season.
The signing pushes Chelsea's spending this summer past £250 million as the club looks to bolster their squad for the season ahead. Garnacho is expected to feature early in the campaign, with his debut potentially coming in the trip to Brentford on Saturday, 13 September.
If handed his first appearance at Gtech Community Stadium, Garnacho will don the No.49 shirt, marking the start of a new chapter in his career at Stamford Bridge.
