The first minute's silence for the death of Jose Antonio Reyes, the ex-Sevilla, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid footballer amongst other clubs, took place just before the Segunda Division game between Alcorcon and Nastic.

Plenty of tributes will be paid to Jose Antonio Reyes in professional football matches over the coming days and the Segunda encounter between Alcorcon and Gimnastic Tarragona was the first.

Players from both teams hugged each other in the centre circle and a piece of music was played to remember the talented footballer who passed away this Saturday in a car crash.

Football mourns the loss of Reyes, a Sevilla legend, a five time Europa league winner, ex-player of top teams and then at Extremadura until his death.

The crowd at Santo Domingo , which hosted the second game of Matchday 41 in Segunda, paid their respects for Reyes.
