Alavés hope to be able to reach a deal with the squad ahead of the salary cuts that the club are considering making to alleviate the economic crisis provoked the coronavirus.
According to the newspaper 'AS', Alavés have offered their players a 20% wage decrease if the competition is suspended completely.
But the problem arises in the face of a possible return to the league, at which time the club have reportedly suggested a 12% reduction in salary, something that the team feels is excessive.
While they reach an agreement, the conditions set out in the furlough scheme since 14th are applied, with players only earning 30% of their salaries, but they aren't working as they only train and look after themselves at home.
