Austrian defender David Alaba started his first training session as a new Real Madrid player on Thursday, with Luka Jovic working out on his own and Mendy, Mariano and Carvajal training indoors.
A day after being presented as 'Los Blancos' first signing for the 2021-22 season, David Alaba trained for the first time under Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, whom he knows from his time at his previous club Bayern Munich.
Alaba began working alongside his new teammates on the Valdebebas pitch after signing his five-season contract and choosing the number four left by former captain Sergio Ramos when he joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid, who will play a friendly against Scottish side Rangers at Ibrox Stadium next Sunday, completed a series of rondos, possession drills, pressing, tactical work, running and several games on a small pitch. This Friday, the club confirmed that they will return to training at 10am.
