Something exciting is always happening in the former Barcelona defender's Kings League, a competition he created, taking the internet by storm. Two days after playing his last professional match in November, the former Barca player and his company Kosmos announced this league, which launched in January.
Somewhere between football, e-sports and reality TV, 12 well-known figures from sport - including Sergio 'Kun' Aguero and Iker Casillas - and internet celebrities act as presidents of their own seven-a-side football teams.
The Argentinian gave an interview to 'ESPN' and said that he would like Lionel Messi to play in the Kings League but that it would be "complicated".
"We haven't spoken about it. I think it's a little complicated at the moment with the schedule, but I hope one day he can play for us. Many stars have played and more want to come. We've seen Chicharito, Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Shevchenko, and Casillas play for some of the other teams," he claimed.
"There are a lot of players keen [to represent Kunisports], but obviously with the timing and the distances involved, it's not been possible for a lot of them, but there are many ex-players interested in playing. It's just a case of finding the dates."
