Joleon Lescott played alongside Aguero during City's 2011/12 and 2013/14 Premier League triumphs and the former England international says that whilst the City's all-time record goalscorer may not be the hardest worker on the training pitch, he is flawless in front of goal when it matters.
It wasn't a completely glowing report for the 29-year-old though, with Lescott, currently a free agent after leaving Sunderland at the end of last season, stopping short of describing him as the best all-round striker in England.
"All round, probably not but goalscorer, yes. For City he's the ideal man," Lesocott told 'Soccer AM'.
"He's not the greatest of trainers! In terms of effort, he's not the greatest but, like Carlos Tevez, give him a chance or a half-chance and, come game time, it's a goal.
"I hope he'll be at City for the remainder of his career; the more he's there, the more chance City have of winning back-to-back titles. I'm a massive fan."
The former Atletico Madrid man has scored 11 goals in 16 games in all competitions so far this soeason, though if Lescott is right, there are plenty more to come.
