Aguero hat-trick enough to seal it for City

Koscielny headed home for Arsenal but it wasn't enough to stop Aguero's hat-trick winning it for City.

Manchester City emerged victorious over Arsenal as we saw a hat-trick from Aguero as well as a Koscielny header in tonight's Premier League clash. It took the Argentinian less than a minute to open the scoring for City as his emphatic header put the Blues ahead. City then had a goal disallowed after Laporte found himself offside from a de Bruyne free kick. Arsenal responded instantly with Laurent Koscielny, recently returned from injury, was able to equalise a few minutes later for the Gunners.

The remainder of the second half saw relentless end-to-end action before City were able to extend their lead as Aguero scored his second on the stroke of half-time. Sterling was credited with the assist as he whipped a cross in front of goal for Aguero to tap in with ease. Manchester City were 2-1 up at the break of half-time as Arsenal began to look deflated.

Raheem Sterling was on top form this evening as well, as another one of his crosses provided Aguero with the opportunity for a hat-trick. In true Aguero style he did not miss his opportunity and scrambled the ball over the line, despite Leno's best efforts to prevent it going in. In a last-ditch effort to salvage a point, Arsenal brought new signing Denis Suarez into the mix, however he was not able to make any significant impact during his debut for Arsenal.

Man City were able to see out the game in style to take home three points as they continue to chase the league leaders Liverpool who face West Ham on Monday night.
