In June, James Costos celebrated Real Madrid's latest Champions League triumph. Only a month later, Barcelona have offered him employment.
Discussing his new job with Real Madrid's bitter rivals, he showed no inclination towards the Blancos, insisting he was very excited to get down to work:
'It is one of the greatest honours of my life to be able to represent Barcelona in North America and I am highly motivated to build links between US institutions and Barcelona', he said.
'A very good job has been done and there is still a lot more to be done when I go back to the United States, above all through the FCB Escola soccer schools, the Foundation and the Innovation Hub, which add so much value to the club'.
Modern football clearly understands no colours, it is a business, and all that matters is the money.
