In a matter of months, Napoli will lose all their identity in attack. The Neapolitans will see Lorenzo Insigne leave for Toronto FC, whose contract expires in 2022, as does Dries Mertens'.
The Belgian will also leave the Italian club, 'Il Mattino'. The source said that Napoli will not get in his way with regards to his future and they will not offer him a new contract.
It is a difficult situation for Mertens because the footballer is reportedly willing to stay at the Italian side even by taking a pay cut.
However, De Laurentiis is determined to do a clear out of the squad and he will let two of the club's most important players in recent years leave for nothing.
Mertens' possible destination could be PSV. The Belgian, due to a lack of offers from Italy, has offered himself to the Dutch club.
