Achraf's agent has taken little time in denying the claims that his player has renewed for Real Madrid. Alejandro Camano told 'Goal' that the footballer's contract runs until 2022, not 2023, as 'Marca' had reported.
"That news is baseless. The contract with Real Madrid is the same that was negotiated in 2017 and will last until 2022," he explained. The player is expected to receive offers in the summer and this leaves clubs with a chance of signing the player.
"All negotiations have been suspended because of the coronavirus crisis and we must wait for it to finish before sitting down again with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund," he added. This makes clear that the Germans will be part of the decision that is taken at the end of the season.
But what will Madrid discuss with Dortmund? Probably an extension of his loan deal. This is expected to end in June, but, as it is likely leagues will be extended and played during the summer, Dortmund will need to keep him for more time.
