Currently, Rafael Leao's buyout clause is 150 million euros, an amount which AC Milan ask clubs to pay if they want Leao. Real Madrid now know that they will have to fork out a large amount of money if they want the striker.
In order to reduce the price of this deal, Real Madrid are willing to include two of their players in the deal: Luka Jovic and Marco Asensio. AC Milan know that Madrid are very interested in Leao and they now have to plan to prevent him leaving.
How will they do this? According to 'AS' this Tuesday, AC Milan are looking to renew his current contract which expires in 2024. The buyout clause, with this renewal, will increase to 200 or 250 million euros.
After Mbappe's painful "no" to Real Madrid and the fact there is no quality back up for Benzema, Rafael Leao is their main target. Mariano, Jovic and company failed to perform and Rafael Leao has scored 14 goals and given 11 assists in 42 appearances.
