The Chilean Roberto Tobar will referee the final of the 46th Copa America this Sunday between Brazil and Peru. This was announced on Thursday by the South American Confederation (CONMEBOL).

Tobar, who turned 41 on 13th April, has been an international referee since 2011 and in the big game he will be assisted on the touchline by his compatriots Christian Schiemann and Claudio Rios

Alexis Herrera of Venezuela will be the fourth official while Julio Bascunan of Chile will lead the VAR team

Roberto Tobar took charge of the first leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and River Plate last year, the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana final in 2018 as well as the second leg of the South American Super Cup earlier this year.

During the Copa America in Brazil, he took charge of the quarter final between Brazil and Paraguay and he was the VAR for the Group A clash between Brazil and Venezuela
