Winning an official title is every footballer's dream. There are thousands of professional players who, either because they are in teams that don't usually win them or because of lack of luck, don't manage to lift a trophy... and then there are others like Dani Alves, with more titles than years.
Six days ago, the Brazilian full-back continued to solidfy his legendary number by winning his 39th title, the Ligue 1, and he is now just 90 minutes away from reaching 40, a number that no player in history has been able to reach.
Breaking down the nature of their titles, there are a total of 24 national trophies, including nine leagues, 12 international trophies (including three Champions League and two Europa League) and three with his national team (one Copa America and two Confederations Cups).
The team that helped wthe most with this number was Barcelona (23). He previously won five in Sevilla and then two in Juventus, six in PSG (which can become seven) and three in Brazil.
His 39 titles leave surpass other legends such as Ryan Giggs (36), Vítor Baía (35) and Kenny Dalglish (35). It's hard for anyone to beat the PSG player's great record, but if there's one man willing to do it, it's Leo Messi (33), who can win up to three titles this season. Cristiano, with 27, is a little further down the line.
