No new developments, sadly, at Genoa. The Italian club confirmed that none of their 17 players with COVID-19 have tested negative, so they will have to stay confined.

Genoa confirmed that their 17 players that tested positive for the coronavirus remain infected, as reflected in the latest round of tests that the squad underwent.

"Genoa reports that none of its 17 players who have already tested positive for COVID-19 have tested negative. These are players Valon Behrami, Davide Biraschi, Petar Brlek, Francesco Cassata, Domenico Criscito, Mattia Destro, Lukas Lerager, Darian Males, Federico Marchetti, Filippo Melegoni, Luca Pellegrini, Mattia Perin, Marko Pjaca, Ivan Radovanovic, Lasse Schone, Miha Zajc, Davide Zappacosta", the official statement from the clubs reads.

The team managed by Rolando Maran registered a vertical increase of infections last week after the league visit to Napoli, and their latest match, scheduled for Saturday by Serie A, was delayed by Serie A.

The sports centre of the club, in the town of Pegli, has been closed for 10 days to prevent the risk of further infection.

Genoa's next match, corresponding to matchday 4 of the Serie A, is scheduled for the 19th October away to Hellas Verona.
